August 13th marks the one year anniversary of releasing this game! It's been an interesting year working on this series, and I figured I'd write a little post about my thoughts on the series, updates on what's to come and what will happen after this all wraps up.

So first of all, looking back at Batlive makes me feel pretty weird. On one hand "dang my first game is a year old" but also "wow this game got a lot of love!" In the past year this game has hit 1000 downloads which is an amazing thing for my first ever game release. Though there have been a few people who didn't really get that this game wasn't "insert yourself into idol school" and that it instead was meant to be "look at my OCs livin' their lives". Other than that I've gotten a bit of a following because of this game. Seeing people excited for the other releases and leaving nice comments warms my heart and makes it a joy to work on these games.

Now, to talk about the future.

The fifth and final Batlive game, Festival Live, is very close to being finished. I'm predicting a release of sometime next week so keep an eye out for that! If you missed it, here's an update tweet I made when I was near the end of the sketch phase of dev. It'll mark the end of this series, but that doesn't mean I won't stop doodling these kids every now and again. It's still pretty wild that I managed to finish 5 games in the span of a year and some months, but that's due to how short these games are.

Now, in terms of what's going to happen after Festival Live releases.

Before I jump into making another brand new game - and I have a solid idea on what it'll be - I'll be going back to the past few games and doing touch ups. These touch ups include; moving Battle Live to new GUI, giving some games' appearances a glow up, adding content I didn't get to add before the initial release, etc. I hope you all look forward to it.
